The Swedish Financial Benchmark Facility is an independent benchmark administrator, specifically established to administer the Swedish interest rate benchmark, STIBOR.

Its mission is to administer, publish and manage STIBOR in accordance with provisions of the Benchmark Regulation (EU BMR), Swedish legislation and guidelines from the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority and the European Securities and Markets Authority.

SFBF is authorised by the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority (‘Finansinspektionen’) to operate as a benchmark administrator pursuant to Article 34.1.a of the EU Benchmarks Regulation (‘BMR’).

STIBOR is recognized as a critical benchmark of vital importance for financial stability and market integrity in Sweden. SFBF took on the role of administrator of STIBOR, in April 2020.
