New Appointment
Global Rate Set Systems (GRSS) has expanded its European presence with the appointment of Catharina Hillström as Managing Director for its Swedish subsidiary Swedish Financial Benchmark Facility AB (SFBF). The SFBF recently took on the Administration of The Stockholm Interbank Offered Rate, STIBOR, and will further develop the benchmark to become a regulated entity, supervised by the Swedish FSA, Finansinspektionen.
Ms Hillstrom’s experience spans across Corporate and Investment banking roles for the last 20 years, primarily working for Investment banks in Europe and Asia, most recently as Managing Director for Standard Chartered Bank in the Nordics. Prior to that she was ten years with Credit Agricole CIB / Indosuez in Capital Markets and Coverage and has previously had Treasury roles for Ericsson in Southeast Asia.
Mark Beaumont, a GRSS director, said ‘we are absolutely delighted that Catharina has agreed to join us. The considered evolvement of STIBOR is of primary importance to us and Catharina’s leadership experience and knowledge of the local markets will help develop STIBOR to be fully regulatory compliant with sound and appropriate governance.
